Every part of the 520X is engineered for longevity, from a heavily reinforced undercarriage with twin-supported top rollers to a dig-end proven through more than 25,000 hours of destructive testing. Hydraulic components are crafted in Japan to maximise efficiency and service life. With dipper options up to 3.9m and larger bucket sizes available, it’s a genuine match for high-load, high-output work.

The 520X features JCB’s CommandPlus cab, with generous legroom, a heated and ventilated suspension seat, electric lumbar support and full climate control as standard. Double-cushioned viscous mounts cut vibration and bring in-cab noise down to just 72dB, reducing fatigue across long shifts. A ROPS-certified structure, anti-slip plates and protective guard rails keep safety front and centre.

The 520X is the first big excavator to run JCB UX, an intuitive operator interface controlled through a 10-inch colour touchscreen. Keyless start gets you working in seconds, while a standard HD 360-degree camera and 14 LED work lights deliver all-round visibility day or night. Personalised profiles, Bluetooth connectivity and built-in how-to guides make it easy for any operator to get the best from the machine.
